Personal Training

What will happen during my consultation and first session?

  • You will receive a new client questionnaire to complete and return before the session. During the consultation, we will discuss your answers and fill out other necessary paperwork that will help your trainer design your programme.

  • You may be asked to perform some basic fitness and functional movement tests – don’t worry, these are very easy but very useful to establish your baseline fitness.

  • You will then spend the rest of the session performing a variety of exercises to help design your programme and give you a taster of what is to come.

What should I bring to a personal training session?

  • Water, a sweat towel.

  • If your session is in our private gym, we can top up your water for you if you run out.

What should I wear for a personal training session?

  • You’re going to be moving around and working up a sweat, so wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in and will still be comfortable when you get a bit sweaty, along with clean and comfortable trainers. Ladies, two words – sports bra! Please do not wear jeans, high heels or other clothing unsuited to exercising.

  • If your session is taking place outdoors, please check the weather and dress appropriately.

  • Remember that you will get hot and sweaty in the session, so bring a jumper or sweatshirt to keep you warm on your way home.

When should I arrive before a session?

  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the agreed session start time. This gives your trainer time to clear up after their previous client and prepare equipment for your session.

Will I be able to shower after the session?

  • Due to the nature of our private gym we do not have shower facilities on site.

Are there toilet facilities available?

  • Yes, if at any time during your session you need to take a comfort break, just let your instructor know.

Where are personal training sessions held?

  • All of our personal training sessions can be held either at our private gym in Send, at your home, outdoors in a public space or we can hold them remotely online. We operate within a 15km radius of our gym in Send, covering Guildford, Woking, Send, Ripley and the surrounding areas.

Online classes

What do I need to take part in an online exercise class?

  • You will need enough space to safely move around and a suitable floor surface that is not slippery or fragile. Generally a space of around 2 square metres will be sufficient.

  • Please make sure you have water and a sweat towel close by, to stay hydrated and avoid sweating into a puddle that could become slippery!

What should I wear for an online exercise class?

  • You’re going to be moving around and working up a sweat, so wear comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in and will still be comfortable when you get a bit sweaty, along with clean and comfortable trainers. When should I arrive before a class?

  • Please arrive around 5 minutes before the advertised start time of the class. This gives you time to login and get ready, so you’re not rushed or holding up the start of the class.

What if I find the class too difficult?

  • Everyone will be performing the same exercises in your class, but you will be given easier and harder options and also encouraged to take it at your own pace - you will soon learn what the right pace is for you. If you feel like you need a break during the class, then just jog or walk on the spot for as long as you need – it’s important to keep moving otherwise you may feel faint.

Can I take part if I have any injuries, illnesses or health issues?

  • This is really important. Contact the instructor before class starts so they can offer you options or modifications to moves which might not be suitable for you. They may also offer suggestions on alternative classes that may be more suitable.

How do I book onto a class?

  • All classes will be posted to our class schedule on a weekly basis, please keep checking back to book your next class!
